Psychosocial Support for Children Affected by Conflict in Eastern DRC

Amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Eastern DRC, thousands of children affected by armed conflict, displacement, and loss continue to carry deep emotional scars.

Through our psychosocial support programs in Goma and Bukavu, Fountain of Hope Africa provides safe spaces, counseling, structured play, and healing activities that help children overcome trauma, restore hope, and regain a sense of normalcy.

Creating space for healing

Children affected by conflict need more than immediate material assistance. Emotional safety, trusted relationships and opportunities to play and learn are essential parts of recovery. Our teams work alongside families and communities to create supportive environments where children can begin rebuilding confidence.

Despite growing humanitarian needs and shrinking funding, we remain committed to ensuring that forcibly displaced and conflict-affected children receive the care, protection, and emotional support they need to heal and thrive.

Every smile regained, every fear overcome, and every child who returns to learning with confidence is a powerful step toward recovery and resilience.
