Back to School: A New School Year, A New Adventure at Dzaleka Refugee Camp

The classrooms at Fountain of Hope Africa School in Dzaleka Refugee Camp, Malawi, are alive again with laughter, excitement, and the smiles of learners beginning a new academic journey.

After a long and refreshing holiday, students have returned to school ready for another year of learning, discovery, friendship, and growth.

Beginning the day together

The school day began with students and staff gathering for morning assembly and a heartfelt prayer. The assembly was followed by the singing of the Malawi National Anthem, reflecting the unity, discipline, responsibility, and shared values that help shape our school community.

Classrooms full of possibilities

For children and young people living in a refugee camp, access to education can provide much more than academic knowledge. School offers a structured environment where learners can develop their abilities, build friendships, discover their potential, and prepare for the future.

At Fountain of Hope Africa, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and to dream about what comes next.

A new chapter begins

With backpacks ready, classrooms open, and teachers prepared to guide them, our students have stepped into another year of learning. May this year be filled with learning, confidence, growth, and hope.
