Malawi
FOH’s Malawi work includes education at Dzaleka Refugee Camp, secondary-school sponsorship, WASH support, skills development and livelihood initiatives.
The organization states that its school has provided primary education to more than 1,000 forcibly displaced children since 2015 and that its potable-water work has reached more than 1,000 refugee households and nine community schools.
Democratic Republic of the Congo
In Eastern DRC, FOH works across education, girls’ higher-education sponsorship, food security, WASH, mental health and humanitarian response.
The School Recovery Program in Bukavu and surrounding territories serves out-of-school children affected by conflict and poverty. FOH also responds to humanitarian needs affecting displaced families in Goma, Bukavu and surrounding communities.
